Goodness, this week is just flying by! After a couple more hours of work in the studio today, I have completed cutting out the leather scales that I started on Tuesday. I cannot wait to see the final product and know that I played a role in the finished garment down the road. With that being said, I have already gained a greater appreciation for all of the steps that go into making a fashion piece. It is so easy for some of us to do our shopping and completely take the work behind it for granted. Of course some pieces are more elaborate than others; but either way, someone puts creativity into our purchases. I dream of being a part of this creativity someday.
Aside from all of this-- we ended the day of work by going to see the film Scatter My Ashes At Bergdorf's. This was a wonderful documentary on Bergdorf Goodman's, a shopping mecca located in New York City on 5th Ave. For those who have further curiosity (which I highly recommend), I have attached the trailer link below:
