Summer Internship: Day 28

I got right back to work on my maxi today knowing it would be finished in no time!  The side seams and hem were the three last major seams necessary for the complete product.

I pinned the hem up an inch to prepare for the finished edge.  Above are all of my pins in place and ready to go!

After this was all complete I had a dress!  However, with this one I wanted to add a nice little flavor of something else which is my sash!  The sash was fairly simple to put together; a couple folds and a couple stitches.

Now before I show you the results, I would first like to show you the sketch made ahead of time so you can compare that to the finished garment.

And drum roll........................................................................................................................................

The sash is able to be worn in multiple ways as well as the dress being worn independently; making for another versatile piece.

On an actual body (aka my size), it looks even better since the measurements were modified to fit accordingly.

Tomorrow I will share my next project!  The hint is that it will correlate with something in this garment:)
